Our 2019 Soltan Sun Ready Competition Winners!

 

We asked young people across the UK aged 4-11 to create a campaign to encourage others to stay safe in the sun. We have had thousands of amazing entries from all over the UK and the judges were extremely impressed by the children’s creativity and knowledge of sun safety.

The excellent standard of entries meant choosing was not an easy task. Michelle Pytlakowska at Soltan said, “We chose the winners based on their fun interpretation of sun safety, showcasing their own personality in their creative execution. They highlighted to us their understanding of the effects the sun can have, the different UV rays to be aware of, the importance of 5 Star UVA Protection with a high SPF and top tips on how best to protect yourself so that everyone can have fun in the sun.”

Congratulations to:

Martha from Milton St. John’s C of E Primary School, our 4-7 winner. Her poster included beautiful imagery of a sunny day and makes amazing use of the 5 Top Tips for sun safety.

Demi from Clifton Primary School in Manchester, our 7-11 winner. Her imaginative design and outstanding illustrations wowed our judges, and best of all she made it really clear why we need to think about UVA rays when staying sun safe!

The winners’ posters will be displayed in stores in Ashton Under Lyne and Manchester this summer. To all those who entered, thank you so much for taking part and we hope you have a fantastic and sun safe summer!
